The Illinois State Water Survey (ISWS) is a division of the Prairie Research Institute at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The Water Survey’s scientists conduct state-of-the-art research and collect, analyze, archive, and disseminate high-quality, objective data and technical information. The Water Survey’s data, services, and expertise provide a sound technical basis for the people and policymakers of Illinois to make decisions.
