System Description

Water is pumped from Lake Altamont (Altamont New Reservoir) to the treatment plant at 350 gpm. Its reservoir capacity has never been measured and may be overestimated.

Developments since 1989:

Lake Altamont dropped to record low levels during the 2005 drought, but it has since recovered. The community's old lake is now privately owned and cannot be used as an emergency supply.
