Elemental Compound

The chemical form of the element of interest, such as nitrate (NO3-) or ammonia (NH3). (for more details, see Nitrogen Properties) The element can exist in various valence states and combine molecularly with other elements. Elemental compounds can be in different physical states (liquid, solid, gas), have various ionic charges, and exist in different spheres.
