Alan Black received his Masters Degree in Geography from Northern Illinois University, under the guidance of Prof. Walker Ashley. His Thesis is titled Non-tornadic Convective Wind Fatalities in the United States: 1977-2007. Mr. Black currently works in the Midwestern Regional Climate Center as a Service Climatologist. Faye Barthold completed all of the requirements to receive her Masters Degree from the University of Illinois Department of Atmospheric Sciences. Research for her Thesis, titled "The Spatial Evolution of Clouds and Snow in a Lake-Effect Boundary Layer", was conducted under the guidance of David Kristovich.
